Marie, who comes from Paris, France, is one of these very few gifted people with this exceptional sense of smell, a good feeling for people and intuition.

As a creative perfumer, Marie Urban Le Febvre composes inventive, yet carefully designed olfactory creations. She uses both her knowledge, acquired through classical training and her absolute freedom as an independent perfumer to orchestrate daring scent experiences.

After studies of Chemistry, Marie graduated from the prestigious Perfumery school ISPICA in Versailles in 2000. Following her studies she worked for International Perfume houses in Paris and honed in on her art with Masters of the craft first at Symrise in 2003 and then at Takasago.

Wanting to go further with her olfactory vision, she set herself up as an Independent Perfumer in 2014 in Berlin, then Triest in 2023 where she explores new directions of composing scents in her fragrance laboratory.
She bridges her classical French perfumery know-how and the unique spirit of the vibrant, inspiring, multicultural, and creative metropolis but also nature lands into her creations.

On top of regularly launching her creations within her own brand, Urban Scents, she supports other brands as well as museums, science, and research projects with her knowledge and creativity. 

Dedicated to sharing her knowledge and expertise with the next generation she teaches as a professor at the prestigious French perfumery school ISIPCA.
Marie is member of the International Perfumer Creator Association based in Paris, and of the Osmothèque, the first and most important perfume archive in the world.

In her free time Marie indulges her passion for flying as a private pilot and, after many years of investigative work, she published her book Risking and Resisting.
Marie is married to Alexander Urban with whom she runs the joined company Urban Scents, and have a son, Carl.
